My Art Work

I have been doing 'pixel art' (low-resolution art with attention to detail on the level of pixels) for a long time for my games, but Japanese anime recently inspired me to get a graphics tablet and have a go at some higher-resolution art work. A selection of the results can be seen here; please feel free to browse.

• My first ever doodle with the new tablet (6 kB); small version (5 kB). I'm sure you wanted to see that. It gets better, honest.
• Pressure sensitivity! (80 kB); small version (24 kB). Shame about the X Window System bug that results in the blobs at the trailing ends of lines ...
• "Women's Volleyball" (110 kB); small version (29 kB), featuring characters from Azumanga Daioh.
• "The special move the sorcerer performed against the delusional demon backfired" (270 kB). This was my contribution to the game we played in this thread on Allegro.cc.
• "I'm not a monster!" (4 kB). Inspired by Card Captor Sakura, I drew this on my Palm m130 handheld computer.
• Sakura (30 kB) a few attempts later.
• Chii (18 kB): another Palm effort, coloured on the PC.
• Not Sugar (4 kB). It was inspired by Sugar from Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar, but it doesn't look like her.
• Mr Kimura and Wife (2 kB). Two separate attempts at Kimura-sensei (teacher) from Azumanga Daioh. One of them looked female, so I decided to call them husband and wife.
• Sakura and her big brother (3 kB). The perspective is way off, but it's such a funny scene I just had to share it.

I have even tried my hand at animation:

• Me skiing (48 kB). This happened to me on my first day skiing, and I animated it using EasyToon after seeing this thread.
